All two and three-dimensional art in any style, as well as video and performance art will be considered for the visual arts component. The Arts Council also encourages submissions of performance art, and large 3-dimensional, weather tolerant art for the outdoor exhibition space on the Forbes Library lawn. Poets can submit up to 3 poems and previously published work will be accepted. Accepted poems will be displayed in the form of a poetry booklet in Forbes Library Hosmer Gallery throughout the Biennial for viewing by the public. Bring printed copies of poem to workshop with the group. Held at The Resistance Center. Fourth Tuesdays: Community potluck and poetry circle. Bring a dish or a small cash donation if possible. Endopolis Poetry Room The Endopolis Poetry Room is a comfy living-room inspired community space in Florence, MA for poets and artists to fill up with inspiration and to acquire the support they need to go forth and create. I probably have twenty books of poetry sitting on my coffee table. This week I go down to D. C, ton of poets down there, I'm going to come back with six to eight books and I'll be way backed up again. Jesse: I know that feeling, just without the stacks upon stacks. Dan: I keep my eye out for that kind of stuff, I was just recently in an anthology called 'Ghost Fishing' its an anthology of ecojustice poetry. It's a huge book! Jesse: Do you have any sort of advice to give to younger poets? Dan: First of all, keep writing. That's the main thing, keep writing. It can be anything, whatever you feel like just write wherever you are. The other thing is, get out there in the community, see what other people are doing.
